The 3rd Salamina International Short Film Festival returns from April 16 to 19, 2026, at the... Theatre of Salamina, under the auspices of the Municipality of Salamina, aiming to become a meeting point for filmmakers from Greece and abroad. With participations from countries such as Vietnam, Poland, Israel, Spain, Luxembourg, and Belgium, the festival establishes a strong international profile, highlighting contemporary cinematic creation and giving space to both emerging and established voices.
The honored guest of this year’s festival is Argyris Theos. Argyris Theos is a Director of Photography in cinema and a Lighting Designer in theatre. His work includes ten feature films, nineteen television series, and lighting design for more than seventy theatre productions. He has also served as General Secretary of the Greek Society of Cinematographers (GSC).
Throughout the three days, the audience will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of short films covering different themes and artistic approaches. On Sunday, April 19, a special masterclass on the art of film lighting will be held by Argyris Theos. The festival will conclude with the closing ceremony and the official awards announcement.

Το 3ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ταινιών Μικρού Μήκους Σαλαμίνας επιστρέφει δυναμικά από τις 16 έως τις 19 Απριλίου 2026 στο Θέατρο Σαλαμίνας, υπό την αιγίδα του Δήμου Σαλαμίνας, φιλοδοξώντας να αποτελέσει σημείο συνάντησης δημιουργών από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Με συμμετοχές από χώρες όπως το Βιετνάμ, η Πολωνία, το Ισραήλ, η Ισπανία, το Λουξεμβούργο και το Βέλγιο, το φεστιβάλ αποκτά έντονο διεθνή χαρακτήρα, αναδεικνύοντας τη σύγχρονη κινηματογραφική δημιουργία και δίνοντας βήμα σε νέες και καταξιωμένες φωνές.
Τιμώμενο πρόσωπο του φετινού φεστιβάλ είναι ο Αργύρης Θέος. Ο Αργύρης Θέος είναι Διευθυντής Φωτογραφίας στον κινηματογράφο και Σχεδιαστής Φωτισμών στο θέατρο. Το έργο του περιλαμβάνει δέκα ταινίες μεγάλου μήκους, δεκαεννέα τηλεοπτικές σειρές και φωτισμούς σε περισσότερες από εβδομήντα θεατρικές παραστάσεις, ενώ έχει διατελέσει Γενικός Γραμματέας της Ένωσης Ελλήνων Κινηματογραφιστών (GSC).
Κατά τη διάρκεια των τριών ημερών, το κοινό θα έχει την ευκαιρία να παρακολουθήσει ένα ευρύ φάσμα ταινιών μικρού μήκους, που καλύπτουν διαφορετικές θεματικές και αισθητικές προσεγγίσεις, ενώ την Κυριακή 19 Απριλίου θα πραγματοποιηθεί ειδικό masterclass με τον Αργύρη Θέο, αφιερωμένο στην τέχνη του φωτισμού στον κινηματογράφο. Η διοργάνωση θα κορυφωθεί με την τελετή λήξης και την απονομή των βραβείων.
